Elmstead Wood Primary School

A warm welcome from

Our Headteacher

Welcome to Elmstead Wood Primary School. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.

Elmstead Wood Primary School is a one-form entry primary school situated on an extensive site on the edge of Elmstead Wood in the London Borough of Bromley. The original school was opened in 1937 to provide schooling for all the children who originated from the East End of London. The building survived the war and was replaced by a purpose-built building in 1995. In 2018, the school underwent extensive building work which expanded the rear of the school and provided 6 new classrooms to cater for the expansion of our KS2 department to two forms of entry. We are fortunate that the school has large recreational areas for the children, including a field and large playground. We have developed the site so that we are promoting learning outside the classroom with our wild area and our allotment. The children get the opportunity to develop and practise a wide range of skills.
